DNS Zone
| A zone is the administrative unit in the domain name system. For each subtree of the DNS there is a corresponding zone. A zone may contain the domain and its subdomains. For example, if we want to configure the DNS server with the domain yahoo.com, we have to create the zone yahoo.com and its subdomains. It would look like this: "www.yahoo.com" and "mail.yahoo.com," etc. |
