Positions:

UNIX System Administrator
Full-time or Part-time/1099

Tasks include general system administration, server monitoring, software / kernel upgrades, security analysis, and more. Willingness to work odd hours and be on call strongly desired (pager / cell phone will be supplied).

Skills Required: 4+ years UNIX (Linux and FreeBSD desired) experience, strong knowledge of Apache, DNS, qmail (Exim knowledge a plus), mySQL.

Skills Desired: PERL, shell scripting, LVS (Linux Virtual Server Clustering),

Help Desk Supervisor
Full-time (part-time may be considered)

Tasks include managing the help desk, reviewing trouble tickets answered by other staff members, solving problems beyond the scope of first level support, handling phone support inquiries, handling general sales inquiries, and more.

Skills Required: 3+ years UNIX experience, basic knowledge of Apache, DNS, mail transport agents (MTAs) and mySQL. Good communications skills, excellent spelling / grammar.

Skills Desired: Ability to take control of a situation, and maintain patience and professionalism.

Sales Engineer
Contract / Commission-based

Reponsibilities include development of customized plans to meet the needs of small and mid-sized business as well as proactive sales. Position is primarily commission-based, though those with proven track records may receive a base salary as well.

Skills Required: General knowledge of web hosting, knowledge of the differences between shared (virtual) hosting, dedicated servers, colocation, and virtual private servers. Excellent communications skills.

Skills Desired: UNIX experience, basic hosting experience.
